Pen Drive

What is pen drive:
Pen Drive or USB Flash Memory Drive is a memory device consisting of flash memory, looking like a lighter and a type A USB connection allowing its connection to a USB port on a computer or other device with a USB.
History:
First commercial product Flash drive with retractable USB connector

The Trek Technologies IBM began selling the first USB flash drives commercially in 2000. Trek Technologies, a Singapore company, sold a model dubbed the "ThumbDrive," and IBM marketed the first such units in North America, with its product "DiskOnKey" (which was manufactured by M-Systems). The IBM USB flash drive was released in December 15, 2000, and had a storage capacity of 8 MB, more than five times the capacity at the time commonly used floppy.
